From tennis dresses to cowgirl boots, here's what's trending on Auburn University's Campus this fall

With the start of fall semester comes excitement about many things. Football games, class crushes, new professors and new fashion trends. With a nationally ranked fashion program, it is no suprise that Auburn University has a notable fashion scene.

Here are the top trends to keep you staying chic this fall semester:

1. Tennis skirts

Step onto campus with the latest athleisure trend: tennis skirts. According to Harper Scarborough, sales associate at Behind the Glass boutique, the tennis skirt trend has been incredibly popular this summer. Whether it's Gold Hinge or Lululemon, tennis skirts can be seen all over campus in a rainbow of colors.

2. Athletic Dresses

Sticking with the athleisure trend, athletic dresses have been trending lately on campus as well. The ensemble is so popular because it is only one piece -- which ladies know can be both a blessing and a curse. Local boutique Behind the Glass carries a lot of athleisure, dresses in particular. According to Scarborough, they have been selling like hot cakes.

3. Graphic tees

Likely paired with a pair of baggy jeans, graphic tees can be seen all over campus. Band tees, baby tees, Auburn tees -- any kind of t-shirt will always be trending on a college campus. The baggy jeans and t-shirt combo is the perfect outfit for a lazy study day.

4. Dainty jewelry

Wearing a lot of jewelry is a staple around Auburn's campus. It is popular to have one's ears pierced in multiple places and to wear full stacks of earrings. "Put your boots on, it's gameday!" is a popular saying around Auburn on football Saturday's. Cowgirl boots are a huge trend on gamedays around Auburn, white cowgirl boots in particular. Also clad in denim and orange and blue, cowgirl boots can be seen all over Auburn.
