Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Sam Vise and I am a senior at Auburn University majoring in journalism. I am originally from Trussville, AL, but my parents moved to Sylacauga after I graduated from high school.

I transferred to Auburn in 2023 from the University of North Alabama. While at UNA, I was majoring in fashion merchandising while minoring in journalism and volunteering for the university newpaper.

After coming to Auburn and joining The Auburn Plainsman, I fell in love with journalism and the news room environment. I decided to change my major to journalism, and I am happy to say that this is where I belong. I have risen in ranks at The Plainsman, and I am now the Assistant Culture Editor. Working for The Plainsman has been a dream come true and has fostered so many amazing opportunities and friendships.

Writing is my passion, and after graduation I plan to work for a newspaper or magazine and write lifestyle and fashion stories. Fashion journalism is where my heart belongs, and I hope to one day work for Vogue.

My goal for this blog is to learn more about fashion and culture, as well as share what I learn with others. I want to teach people about trends and the fashion scene not only at Auburn, but cities that I visit. My goal is to travel and learn more about fashion as I go, sharing it with all of you!
